At the Point of No Return - Pictorial History of the American
Paratroopers in the Invasion of Normandy
Michel De Trez

In At the Point of No Return, Michel De Trez exhibits numerous
private and archived photographs chronicling paratroopers from
the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions fighting in Normandy,
1944.  These photographs are arranged by airborne division,
section, and date in order to provide unprecedented historical
accuracy.

While creating this extensive work, Mr. De Trez found that many
archived photographs were out of context being captioned with
wrong locations, wrong dates or even worse, wrong campaigns.
Countless hours were spent corresponding with Airborne veterans,
traveling through Europe and America to meet collectors and
historians and visiting museums, libraries and archives to find
exact locations and paratrooper identities.

Also showcased is the author’s personal collection of airborne
memorabilia including artifacts from Privates to well known
Officers, collected from a wide variety of sources such as
veterans, collectors, and actual battlefields.  This collection,
presented in color, includes unique examples of authentic
uniforms and equipment; many of the most unbelievable
examples documented to living veterans.

Michel De Trez is an established authority on American
Paratroopers in World War II and this book is arguably one of
the best on the subject.
